KS2 Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a committed and capable Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Brent on a full-time basis from January 2026 until July 2026.
About the role
As a Year 6 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support teaching and learning, with a particular focus on English and Maths. You will provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, helping pupils build confidence, consolidate key skills, and prepare effectively for assessments.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons, particularly in English and Maths
Working with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce key learning objectives
Assisting with SATs preparation and intervention sessions
Helping to maintain a focused and positive classroom environment
Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
Adhering to safeguarding and school policies at all times

Requirements
To be considered for the role of KS2 Teaching Assistant you will:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in KS2 or Year 6
- Strong English and Maths skills
- Ability to support pupils preparing for end-of-key-stage assessments
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Enhanced DBS on the update service
- Right to work in the UK
- Previous teaching experience
