Are you a passionate and committed English Teacher ready for your next challenge? We are seeking an inspiring Teacher of English to join our inclusive and high-achieving secondary school located in the vibrant borough of Newham .
The Role:As a Teacher of English, you will deliver engaging, thought-provoking lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 . Experience teaching Key Stage 5 is highly desirable and may offer further opportunities for growth. Our school in Newham is dedicated to academic excellence, student voice, and creative learning.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and teach dynamic English lessons that challenge, support, and inspire
- Develop students' literacy, analytical skills, and passion for reading and writing
- Use assessment to track progress and inform effective teaching
- Contribute to a collaborative English department and whole-school initiatives
- Foster a classroom culture where all students feel confident and heard
- Holds QTS and a degree in English or a related field
- Is experienced or newly qualified (ECTs welcome) with a clear commitment to ongoing development
- Has strong subject knowledge and a desire to teach at all key stages, including KS5 where appropriate
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management, planning, and communication skills
- Be part of a supportive and forward-thinking English department
