Head of Service – Quality Assurance
Interim contract 3-6 months to start July 2025
Inside IR35 – £600-£650 per day (Negotiable dependent upon experience)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a local authority in London for a Head of Service – Quality Assurance to join for an initial 3–6-month interim period with the view to support whilst the client recruits to a substantive post-holder.

About your role as Head of Service – Quality Assurance

• Key focus to deliver effective against the performance framework and establish high quality level of data and information for the service
• Role created as HOS to hold gravitas with other Heads of Service across the directorate and demonstrate ability to work both operationally and strategically/impact change across the team.
• Need to review recording being made, gaps in service and shortcuts currently used need to remapped with appropriate pathways.
• Insights shared with colleagues across the directorate including operational service leaders, Academy, PSW and ADCS to deliver effective training and support improvement

Your required experience as Head of Service – Quality Assurance

• More than 2 years’ experience at a minimum Senior manager level/Head of Service equivalent within a quality assurance/review role

• Role requires a social work qualification and must have technical knowledge of performance within Children’s Services
• Technical knowledge and understanding of reports and infrastructure for Children’s Social Care
• Experience leading a team and offering expertise for complex queries (technical acumen)
• Must hold a valid DBS/willing to undertake one and 2 years of references
