We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist Assessor to join a NHS dedicated team in Brentford, Middlesex. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a community-based setting, supporting individuals through comprehensive assessments and enabling them to maintain independence and quality of life. The role is available on a locum basis with an immediate start and offers competitive rates.

What will your responsibilities be?

As an Occupational Therapist Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting holistic assessments of individuals in their homes or community settings to determine their functional needs and recommend appropriate interventions. You will provide expert advice on equipment, adaptations, and care planning, working closely with service users, families, and other professionals. The role also inolves contributing to safeguarding, supporting hospital discharges, and promoting independence through person-centred care planning.

Qualifications and Experiences:

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
• HCPC registration – essential
• Previous experience in community or social care settings – desirable
• Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
