What You'll Do:
As a Accounting Manager, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, being responsible for the accounting activities of our 3 legal entities in the UK (LLTD, LMUK and LAHL) in both US Gaap and UK Gaap. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life. Your work will directly impact the accountability at Lubrizol.
What We're Looking For:
- Lead the accountancy for the accounting activities of our 3 legal entities in the UK (LLTD, LMUK and LAHL) in both US Gaap and UK Gaap.
- Close of the month / year, correct and timely report of LLTD and LMUK.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws (e.g corporate income tax, VAT, Intrastat, Lubrizol International Tax Package, etc.).
- Lead and manage the UK accounting team including performance process reviews and actively support and develop them.
- Responsible for all Statutory Government returns
- Act as a finance partner to site management by providing adequate financial insights to support the objectives of local management.
- Be the Key contact in the UK for all accounting requirements from corporate and for internal and external auditors.
- Ensure Lubrizol internal controls are properly in place and maintained.
- Keep abreast and up to date in changes in UK statutory and Tax legislation (with support of Corp tax department).
- Act as a company secretary for both LLTD and LMUK.
- Provide support to site leaders and to regional finance for the AOP process,
- Review payments batch,
- Support on ad hoc projects for global / regional finance,
Skills That Make a Difference:
- Recognised Accounting qualification ACMA/ ACCA/ACA is required.
- 8+ years of experience post-qualification and proven accounting experience, preferably in an international environment.
- UK Gaap is mandatory and US Gapp exposure will be appreciated.
- Statutory Reporting experience.
- UK Corporate Tax, Indirect taxes exposure.
- UK tax requirement knowledge: SAO, CCO.
- Experienced user of ERP packages preferably SAP.
- People management experience.
- Experience working in a matrix organization.
- Very good interpersonal and communication skills at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work accurately within strict deadlines
- Planning and organization skills
