Fire Safety Manager

Rate: £360 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: London-based (hybrid working available)
Contract: 3 months (potential to extend)
Start: September 2025

This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership role as Head of Fire Safety, overseeing fire risk management across a large and complex social housing and corporate property portfolio.The role offers the chance to shape fire safety strategy at a critical time for building compliance and resident protection.

As Head of Fire Safety, you will lead on statutory and non-statutory fire safety compliance, manage risk assessment programmes, and provide expert technical guidance across residential and workplace buildings. You’ll work closely with internal teams, contractors, and external bodies including Building Control and the London Fire Brigade.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading fire risk assessment programmes and ensuring robust safety systems are in place
• Providing expert guidance on compliance procedures and building safety
• Managing contractors and consultants to uphold fire safety standards
• Supporting capital works with technical fire safety input
• Engaging with residents and external regulatory bodies
• Delivering training and development to staff and stakeholders

We’re seeking a Head of Fire Safetywith:

• Proven leadership in fire safety within social housing or similar environments
• In-depth knowledge of fire safety legislation and building regulations
• Strong stakeholder engagement and contractor management experience
• The ability to balance strategic oversight with operational delivery
