Events Executive - 12 month FTC
The role
Great events bring people together, create memorable experiences and open the door to new conversations. At Hollis, our events range from expert-led breakfast talks and client dinners to major property conferences, networking events and social activities across the UK and Europe.
We're looking for an organised and enthusiastic Events Executive to help bring these moments to life and join us for a 12 month fixed-term contract. You'll join a friendly, collaborative team and support events such as Hollis Talks, client receptions, industry conferences including UKREiiF and EXPO REAL, and smaller regional events.
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two weeks will look quite the same. You'll coordinate the practical details that keep events running smoothly, from venues, invitations and attendee lists to travel, suppliers and on-the-day support. You'll also have the opportunity to manage smaller events yourself, with support from the wider team.
What you'll be doing
Coordinating smaller client, networking and regional office events
Supporting larger events, conferences, dinners and corporate hospitality
Sourcing venues and suppliers and arranging catering, bookings and event materials
Managing invitations, attendee lists, registrations and event communications
Keeping event information, calendars, contact data and trackers up to date
Coordinating diaries, schedules, travel and accommodation where required
Booking colleagues onto external industry events and managing any changes
Supporting invoices, expenses, reporting and budget tracking
Responding to queries from colleagues, venues and suppliers
Providing on-the-day support and helping events run smoothly
What we're looking for
You may already have some experience in events, marketing, hospitality or a professional services environment. More importantly, you'll enjoy organising, working with people and taking pride in getting the details right.
You'll be:
Highly organised, with strong attention to detail
Comfortable managing several tasks and deadlines at once
Friendly and confident when communicating with colleagues, clients and suppliers
Proactive, dependable and happy to take ownership of your work
Calm and adaptable when plans or priorities change
Comfortable using spreadsheets, event systems or CRM platforms
Able to work independently while being part of a collaborative team
Willing to travel and provide on-the-day event support when needed
Our preference is to recruit directly wherever possible. Should this role be approved for support from external recruitment partners, we will contact our PSL agencies accordingly.
Please note that we do not accept unsolicited CVs from agencies. Effective introduction of a candidate will only be accepted if it has been requested to submit CV’s in relation to a specific vacancy. Any speculative submissions will not incur a fee. For any queries, kindly reach out to the appropriate Talent Acquisition team member.
The Company
All together different - We're independent, multi-disciplinary real estate technical experts, project managers, and sustainability consultants. At Hollis, we know buildings inside and out. For more than 30 years, we've been powered by independence and driven by deep technical knowledge - a unique combination that sets us apart.
Advising across core real estate markets in the UK and Europe, we understand how buildings work, how they perform, and how to unlock their full potential with unbiased, value-driven commercial solutions.
Why join us?
At Hollis, we create an environment where people can grow into their potential.
You’ll be supported to take on new challenges at the right pace, building your confidence, capability and technical expertise over time. Whether you’re already experienced or still developing, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the industry and gradually take on more responsibility as you grow.
We’ll encourage you to develop a strong commercial understanding alongside your technical skills-helping you see the bigger picture and build a well-rounded career. You’ll work closely with clients and colleagues, gaining exposure and developing the confidence to make a meaningful contribution.
You’ll also be in a business where your ideas are welcomed, where your manager takes a genuine interest in your development, and where progression is based on your growth-not just time in role.
Above all, it’s a people-first, one team culture. We're supportive, down-to-earth, and focused on helping everyone do their best work while enjoying what they do.
What we offer
We recognise the contribution our people make and offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including:
• Life assurance and private medical insurance
• Season ticket loan
• 5% employer pension contribution
• 25 days’ annual leave, plus your birthday off
• Cycle to work scheme, retail vouchers, gym discounts and more
• Electric vehicle scheme
• Longevity awards
• Employee-owned, profit-related bonus
We operate a flexible, hybrid working model, giving you the option to balance time between home and the office. We also support flexible working where possible, recognising that people work best in different ways and at different times.
Alongside the day-to-day, we’re a sociable and connected team. From informal catch-ups to team events, charity initiatives and office activities, there are plenty of opportunities to build relationships and feel part of the wider business.
We’re inclusive
We’re committed to creating a genuinely inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome, supported and able to succeed.
We value different perspectives and experiences, and we work to ensure that our processes, culture and opportunities are open to all. At Hollis, inclusion is part of how we work-helping individuals develop, contribute and feel confident being themselves.
Don’t meet every requirement?
If you’re interested in this role but don’t feel your experience perfectly matches, we’d still encourage you to apply. We know that potential isn’t always reflected in a CV, and we’re open to people who are keen to learn and develop.
