Finance Officer Role in a Good Primary School
A Good Primary School in Ealing is seeking to appoint an experienced and organised Finance Officer to join its dedicated administration and finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to play an important role in supporting the school's financial operations and ensuring resources are managed effectively.

About the Role
The successful Finance Officer will provide day-to-day financial support across the school, ensuring transactions, records, and reporting are completed accurately and in line with relevant procedures.
Working closely with the School Business Manager and senior leadership team, you will oversee invoice processing, purchase orders, reconciliations, budget monitoring, supplier payments, and general financial administration. You will also assist with month-end processes, audits, and financial reporting when required.
This role would suit someone with previous finance experience who is highly organised, numerate, and confident working with confidential information.
Key Responsibilities
Process invoices, purchase orders, and supplier payments
Maintain accurate financial records and finance databases
Complete bank and account reconciliations
Support budget monitoring and expenditure tracking
Assist with financial reports and month-end procedures
Liaise with suppliers regarding invoices and payment queries
Support internal and external audit requirements
Ensure financial processes comply with school policies and regulations

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Previous experience in a finance, accounts, or financial administration role
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial systems
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information professionally
Desirable
Experience working within a school or educational environment
Knowledge of FMS, PS Financials, Access, or similar finance systems
AAT qualification or willingness to work towards one
Experience with budget monitoring, payroll, or audit preparation
