Sounds great, what will I be doing?

As a Recovery Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred, and recovery-focused support to individuals experiencing mental distress, helping them improve their wellbeing, build resilience, and prevent the escalation of mental health difficulties. You will manage a caseload of service users, delivering assessments, risk management, safety planning, and short-term interventions tailored to individual needs. What do I need to bring with me?

You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you're willing to learn. We also value lived experience of the areas we support, so if you feel comfortable, please do mention this on your application.

In this role, you will need experience supporting individuals experiencing mental health challenges, emotional distress, or crisis, alongside a strong understanding of recovery-focused, strengths-based, person-centred, and trauma-informed approaches. You will be able to build positive and trusting relationships, deliver effective emotional and practical support, and respond appropriately to risk, safeguarding concerns, and crisis situations. Strong communication, teamwork, and partnership-working skills are essential, as is the ability to collaborate with health professionals, community organisations, and other stakeholders. You should possess good IT and record-keeping skills, experience managing a caseload, and the flexibility to work across community and clinical settings, including evenings and weekends.
