You will teach Science at Key Stage 3 before specialising in Chemistry at Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver well-structured lessons covering areas such as atomic structure, bonding, chemical reactions, quantitative chemistry, energy and the periodic table.

The school is looking for a teacher who can combine strong subject knowledge with practical teaching. Students should be encouraged to investigate scientific ideas, carry out experiments and develop the analytical skills needed for GCSE.

You will plan lessons carefully, assess student understanding and provide appropriate intervention where pupils require additional support. There will also be opportunities to contribute to wider Science activities and enrichment.

• QTS or recognised teaching qualification

• GCSE Chemistry experience

• Confidence delivering practical investigations

The salary for this Chemistry Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
