Contract: Permanent / 42 weeks per year

Salary: S29 (£37,803) – S34 (£42,747)

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised, committed and detail-focused professional to

join KAA and play a vital role in ensuring that our safeguarding systems, processes and practice are

consistently of the highest standard.

We are looking for an exceptional Safeguarding Co-ordinator to join our safeguarding team, working

closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), Senior Safeguarding Officer and wider pastoral

team. Whilst this is not a student-facing role, the postholder will be central to the effective

operation of safeguarding across the academy and will make a significant contribution to the safety,

wellbeing and success of our students. This is also a new role to the academy, and we anticipate that

the role responsibilities may evolve time; as such, we are seeking a postholder that embraces change,

is adaptable and is motivated to trial new things.

The Safeguarding Co-ordinator will have responsibility for the effective administration, coordination

and quality assurance of key safeguarding systems and processes. This will include the management

and quality assurance of CPOMS, the Central Safeguarding Register, safeguarding records and file

transfers, as well as the preparation and follow-up of Safeguarding Hubs and the coordination of

safeguarding information across the academy.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, proactive and meticulous, with excellent attention

to detail and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with the utmost

professionalism. They will be confident working across multiple priorities, identifying areas for

improvement and ensuring that safeguarding actions are followed through effectively and within

required timescales.

The Safeguarding Co-ordinator will be a key member of the safeguarding team and will work

collaboratively with colleagues, primary schools, therapists and external agencies to ensure that

accurate, timely and appropriate information is available to support effective safeguarding decisionmaking.
