About The Role

We are seeking a versatile Product Data Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting our computer vision startup’s analytics needs. Your responsibilities will span data engineering, analysis, and model performance evaluation, working closely with our Customer Success team to ensure our AI models meet high standards of accuracy and reliability. You will analyze frame-by-frame model prediction data from our mobile SDKs (iOS and Android), investigate performance issues, and own the data labeling process. Your insights will directly influence model improvements and client satisfaction. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of data science, engineering, and customer engagement, contributing to the advancement of innovative AI solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in SQL, including BigQuery and PostgreSQL
  • Strong Python programming skills
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience working with big data warehouse systems such as Google BigQuery or Apache Hive
  • Hands-on experience collaborating with machine learning teams, understanding core evaluation metrics and techniques
  • Experience with data visualization tools, particularly Grafana
  • Excellent communication skills suitable for client-facing interactions
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across teams

Responsibilities

  • Analyze frame-by-frame model prediction data from mobile SDKs (iOS and Android)
  • Investigate model performance issues using detailed session records
  • Own and manage the data labeling process, including interfacing with labeling teams, running calibrations, and analyzing labeling trends
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for labeling processes, technologies, and team capabilities
  • Identify patterns in model performance and recommend targeted training improvements
  • Design and implement BigQuery tables and schemas for efficient data storage and analysis
  • Champion model explainability by gathering insights from images, conducting experiments with new data sources, and addressing client queries
  • Create and maintain Grafana dashboards to visualize key performance metrics
  • Collaborate with the Customer Success team to deliver data-driven solutions and insights
