Job Summary:

A family is seeking a live-in nanny following the departure of their long-term nanny due to a family emergency. The role involves supporting a busy household with five children aged 7–13, with the mother remaining actively involved in childcare. The position offers a private bedroom on the third floor with a shared family bathroom, and a competitive salary of £45,000–£50,000 per year.

The role combines childcare, housekeeping, and cooking, with a typical schedule from 7:00am to 7:00–8:00pm, including a 2–3 hour break during the day and one flexible days off during the week. The housekeeper will also be required to drive for occasional school runs and assist with maintaining a well-run household alongside other staff such as cleaners and gardeners.

General Duties:

General housekeeping tasks (cleaning, tidying, laundry, ironing, etc.)
Wardrobe management and organization
Occasional school drop-offs and pick-ups
General tidying and light housekeeping
Laundry and changing bed linens
Prepare two daily meals (breakfast and dinner)
Cook simple, varied family-style meals (primarily British cuisine)
Confident driving for school runs (automatic car provided)
Light garden-related tasks as needed

Candidate Requirements:

Previous experience as a nanny/housekeeper in a private household
Confident managing a busy family environment with multiple children
Strong home cooking skills with the ability to prepare varied, nutritious meals
Confident and safe driver with a clean driving licence
Flexible and adaptable to changing family needs and schedules
Discreet, professional, and respectful of privacy
Good level of spoken and written English
Physically capable of handling a busy, active role
Comfortable working alongside other household staff

Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate ?
