Safeguarding and Welfare Support Officer
We are seeking a professional, proactive, and compassionate Safeguarding and Welfare Officer to support the wellbeing and safety of pupils at Borough Academy. This role is central to ensuring that every child feels safe, supported, and able to thrive in our school community.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead and wider pastoral team, managing a caseload of pupils and liaising with families and external agencies where needed. Key responsibilities include responding to welfare concerns, maintaining accurate safeguarding records, promoting attendance, and providing guidance and support to pupils through drop-in sessions and interventions.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, approachable, and confident in handling sensitive situations with discretion. Strong communication skills, resilience, and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children are essential.
The successful candidate will join us at Borough Academy in early 2026.
