HGV Class 1 Driver (C+E) – Tramping Operations

Join a leading haulage organisation that partners with one of the world’s largest online retailers. As a reliable and professional driver, you will become an essential part of a 24/7 network, moving trailers between regional distribution centres (RDCs) from our Bedford depot.

What You’ll Do

• Operate a Class 1 HGV (C+E) on tramping routes, transporting trailers between RDCs without hand‑ball.
• Start and finish each shift at the Bedford depot, swapping trailers within the network as required.
• Maintain a professional attitude and uphold safety standards at all times.

What We Require

• Minimum 6 months provable commercial driving experience (CE licence preferred).
• Valid UK C+E entitlement on your driving licence.
• Valid UK CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.
• Maximum of six penalty points (no DD, DR, or IN endorsements).
• Right‑to‑work documentation for the UK.
• Good English language skills for safety communication.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug & alcohol testing.

Working Conditions

• Full‑time, 24/7 operation with a minimum contract of 6 months.
• Weekly payroll – you get paid every week.

• Annual package of £47,000 – £51,000 (depending on experience).
