Customer Demand Planner
Great things are happening in the Europe and Australia (EUAU) region. Each day, our 2,500 plus colleagues bring their passion to our offices, manufacturing sites, R&D center, and commercial/distributor markets across Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. We are energized by over 150 years of bringing people together with the food they love. With beloved brands Old El Paso, Häagen-Dazs, Nature Valley, Betty Crocker, Fibre One, Latina Fresh and more, we are on a mission to become the undisputed growth leader in food for EUAU. In a world that’s ever-changing, we look to stay ahead and seek people who share our love of food and are hungry to shape the future.
As a Customer Demand Planner, you’ll play a vital role in driving the performance of General Mills’ brands within the UK’s Top 5 retailers. Sitting at the intersection of demand planning, customer collaboration, and supply chain excellence, this is a chance to directly influence how our products reach millions of consumers while strengthening relationships with our key customers.
What your role is:
As our Customer Demand Planner, you will be the driving force behind accurate forecasting, effective event management, and strong customer relationships. You will be responsible for:
- Event Management: Collaboratively plan, forecast, execute, track, and review promotional activities, NPD launches, and delists, ensuring seamless execution and optimal results. You will be responsible for planning and agreeing NPD launches with your customers.
- Demand Planning: Analyse internal and customer data (EPOS, forecast, service, and customer stockholding) to generate actionable insights that improve promotional performance and forecast accuracy. You will be responsible for promotional tracking, reporting with a high level of analysis on performance, with post promotional evaluations and Day 1 and Day 5 promo analysis execution.
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong, influential relationships with your customers' supply chain teams. Prepare and lead regular collaborative review meetings, proactively challenging customers where required and becoming a trusted advisor.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Serve as the expert for your customer within General Mills, acting as the first point of contact for internal and external queries. Collaborate weekly with the Supply Planning team to identify potential shortages and communicate updates to customers. Partner with the Logistics team to address delivery issues and explore cost-saving opportunities.
What you will bring to the team:
You have proven experience in supply or demand planning, or customer collaboration, ideally within FMCG or retail. You understand the systems, processes, and expectations of major grocers and know how to influence both customers and internal stakeholders to achieve results.
Analytical and detail-oriented, you’re skilled in Excel and confident in turning data into actionable insights. You thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional environments, balancing multiple priorities while always keeping service and accuracy front of mind. With strong interpersonal skills, a continuous improvement mindset, and a proactive, collaborative approach, you’re ready to deliver real impact for our customers and consumers alike.
What you get from us:
