Accounts Payable Clerk - School (Richmond) Location: London Borough of Richmond Contract Type: Full-time (36 hours per week) Start Date: ASAP Salary: £16.00 - £19.50 per hour (PAYE) An excellent school in the London Borough of Richmond is seeking a meticulous and experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join their finance team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk with strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude to make a real difference in a supportive school environment. As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling supplier statements, and supporting the wider finance team to ensure smooth day-to-day financial operations. The role will also involve liaising with internal departments and external suppliers, so excellent communication and organisational skills are essential. Key Responsibilities: Process purchase invoices in a timely and accurate manner Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies Assist with payment runs and maintain accurate records Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc administrative tasks Requirements: Proven experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk role, ideally within a school or public sector setting Strong IT skills, including Excel and finance software (e.g. PS Financials, SIMS FMS, or similar) High level of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent interpersonal and communication skills A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) This Accounts Payable Clerk position is offered on a PAYE basis, with weekly pay and competitive hourly rates. The role is full-time, 36 hours per week, and offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative and friendly school office
