Job Description:
We are seeking a highly specialist Band 7 Dietitian for a locum position focused on Learning Disabilities. This role requires a skilled practitioner to work autonomously, managing a caseload of service users with highly complex health and social care needs. Your role is crucial in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and supporting improved health outcomes for individuals with learning disabilities.
What your responsibilities will be for this Dietetics role?
As a Locum Dietitian, you will be responsible for independently managing a caseload of service users with complex health and social care needs. Your primary focus will be providing expert dietetic input into a specialist dysphagia pathway, ensuring that adults with learning disabilities receive comprehensive and specialised nutritional care. You will assess and diagnose nutritional needs, develop and implement personalised dietary interventions, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to support integrated care. Your role will also involve advising on and managing complex dysphagia cases, providing detailed recommendations and adjustments to nutritional plans as required.
Requirements:
- HCPC registration as a Dietitian
- Right to work in the UK
- Extensive experience in dietetics, particularly within the field of learning disabilities
- Expertise in managing complex dysphagia cases
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a complex caseload
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
