Role Summary
Working for a highly regarded Lloyd’s/London Market insurer, you will be responsible for managing a team of Marine Claims Handlers across Lloyd’s and Company Market platforms, including contributing to company profitability through effective claims management.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the Marine team’s performance against KPIs.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including underwriting, legal, risk control and actuarial partners.
- Direct involvement in the management of significant large losses as necessary.
Key Requirements
- Experience in Cargo, Transport & Logistics, Marine Liability, Fine Art & Specie Claims.
- Ability to effectively identify, lead, coach and develop talented claims professionals.
- Knowledge of loss fund management, portfolio run off and disposition strategies.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to prioritise and effectively manage multiple work streams.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
