Financial Crime Manager
About The Role:
- The purpose of this role is to support Enfuce in maintaining a robust second line of defence financial crime function that can provide advice, challenge, and oversight to the business. Through the effective execution of this role, you will support Enfuce to ensure it identifies financial crime risk and has a commensurate control environment in place to protect the Enfuce and its customers.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Maintain Enfuce’s financial crime policies.
- Ensure relevant teams have received adequate training on fraud and financial crime.
- Take responsibility for performing the financial crime Business Wide Risk Assessment, including working with first line business units to address control deficiencies.
- Maintain a risk based compliance monitoring plan, and perform detailed and insightful compliance monitoring reviews.
- Work with the MLRO to articulate Enfuce’s financial crime risk appetite statements and
ensure the quality of data being reported by both first line departments and the second
line Risk and Compliance Team is sufficient. - Support first line business units to understand the risk inherent in products and customer
use cases, either at onboarding and scoping, or proactively as part of product
development. - Provide independent challenge of new or revised customer due diligence (CDD), transaction monitoring, and sanctions systems.
- Maintain and test the effectiveness of the Financial Crime Framework.
- Ensure we have appropriate controls in place to manage bribery and corruption risk, for
example by maintaining a gift and entertainment register. - Support with the maintenance of a PEP register.
- Review and provide second-line oversight of escalated PEP cases, ensuring appropriate risk classification, enhanced due diligence, and periodic review in line with Enfuce’s risk appetite and policies.
- Review and provide second-line oversight of sanctions alerts and investigations, confirming that screening processes, alert dispositions, and escalations are appropriately handled, documented, and compliant with applicable sanctions regimes.
- Ensure Enfuce stays up to date with regulatory changes, and work with first line of defence business units to ensure the business is prepared to comply.
- Keep our suspicious activity reporting log up to date, and when notifications are made
support the MLRO in investigating notifications and submitting reports to law
enforcement. - Ensure Enfuce maintains an appropriate country risk assessment.
- Coordinate responses to external authority requests e.g. production orders or requests
from law enforcement. - Support the MLRO in producing the annual financial crime board report.
- On an intra-group basis, you will be required to provide risk and compliance support to
Enfuce’s other group entities. - Supporting all other reasonable tasks at the discretion of Enfuce.
What You'll Bring:
- Understanding of the payment services and e-money sector, card schemes and card issuing, and the BIN Sponsorship operating model.
- Knowledge of UK electronic money and payment services regulation, including FCA requirements
- Strong understanding of the UK/EU law on money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex regulatory and risk-related issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively, provide feedback and challenge in a constructive manner, and work with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- High levels of attention to detail.
- Ability to understand the broader business context and identify the interconnections between various moving parts.
- Anticipate the needs of the team and the business, taking proactive steps to maintain a strong compliance position by solving problems as they arise, or escalating for decisions in a timely manner.
