Assistant Team Manager
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of an Assistant Team Manager on a 3-month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 29.41 - 40.10 per hour
Summary:
We are hiring an Assistant Team Manager to join the Placements Service within Safeguarding & Family Support (Childrens Services). This is a key leadership role supporting the delivery of high-quality services for children young people and foster carers.
Responsibilities:
- Support and lead a team within the Placements Service in a safeguarding environment
- Provide guidance and clear decision-making in complex cases
- Ensure compliance with fostering legislation statutory frameworks and childrens social care policies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams foster carers and external partners
- Monitor performance manage risk and contribute to service improvement
Essential Requirements:
- Strong experience managing staff and handling complex safeguarding situations
- Comprehensive knowledge of fostering services statutory frameworks and childrens social care legislation
- Ability to lead effectively in a challenging environment and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication conflict resolution and stakeholder management skills
- Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
Please note:
- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires an Enhanced DBS
