The role:

RedCloud is seeking a highly experienced Chartered Accountant with a deep grounding in UK IFRS and group financial reporting , alongside a blend of Big 4 technical advisory and corporate financial leadership experience.

This contract position will support the transition of RedCloud’s group reporting framework from US GAAP to UK IFRS , ensuring IFRS-compliant consolidation and financial statement preparation for Nasdaq-listed entities under UK Company Law.

The successful candidate will serve as the technical anchor within the finance team — bridging accounting theory and operational execution — and act as a key liaison for external audit stakeholders.

🧠 Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and technical interpretation of UK IFRS accounting standards within the RedCloud group.
• Assist with the preparation and review of IFRS-compliant consolidated financial statements , ensuring compliance with the UK Companies Act and audit requirements.
• Prepare and review technical accounting memos , working closely with audit teams to justify treatments and policy choices during the transition from US GAAP.
• Guide and train internal finance staff on IFRS application, group-level eliminations, and adjustments.
• Oversee documentation and readiness for external audit under both PCAOB and UK audit frameworks.
• Develop internal control checklists, technical position papers, and working papers that will serve as a foundation for ongoing reporting.
• Actively participate in closing procedures, consolidation adjustments, and intercompany reconciliations.

🎯 Candidate Profile

✅ Must-Have Qualifications & Experience

• Chartered Accountant ( CA(SA) or ACA/ICAEW qualified)
• 5–8 years total experience , ideally including:
  • A foundation in Big 4 technical accounting advisory or audit quality support teams
  • Subsequent experience as a Financial Controller , Group Reporting Lead , or similar role managing group-wide financial processes, consolidations, and controls
• In-depth knowledge of UK IFRS and UK Companies Act 2006
• Exposure to US GAAP and its practical differences from IFRS, particularly helpful in liaising with PCAOB audit teams
• Strong track record of group accounting , consolidation, and multi-entity reporting under tight deadlines
• Experience in preparing and presenting technical accounting papers and managing auditor relationships during transition or transformation phases

• Experience with listed or multinational reporting environments
• Prior involvement in finance transformation , financial statement conversions, or ERP/reporting upgrades
• Exposure to platform or tech-driven business models
• Strong Excel and financial reporting systems capability (ERP/consolidation tools)
