Senior Product Manager

Runna
London

We're putting together a talented team to build the #1 training platform for Runners

We help everyday runners become outstanding by providing world-class training, coaching and community for everyone, whether you're improving your 5k time or training for your first marathon. To date we have built iOS, Android and Apple watch apps that help people achieve their goals by coaching them through the full journey and syncing to their favourite fitness devices.

We’re growing extremely fast! in November 2023we closed a $6.5M funding round led by JamJar with participation from Eka Ventures, Venrex and Creator Ventures. In 2024 , we were selected by Apple as one of three global finalists for the 2024 iPhone App of the Year , reflecting the innovation and impact of what we’ve built & now in 2025we have ****just been acquired by Strava ! 🤯 🎉

We want to grow as fast as we can into the future and are looking for individuals who will help us get there. Our aim is to reach millions of subscribers and be the go-to training platform for any runner. Now is a magical time to join and with our recent acquisition it makes the journey even more exciting! 🚀

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for a  Senior Product Manager  to join our App team and take ownership of our Strength Workouts and Run Recording features. You will work at the forefront of fitness recordings and building products that will be the first of their kind across the industry. You will also be part of the broader App team - a cross functional team who are responsible to making sure that the our customers have the best experience possible using the Runna app.

Specifically in this role you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and designers to build the  world’s best running Strength Proposition and the world’s best running recording experience . We believe we are uniquely positioned to take these to the next level by developing features that are easy to use, hyper-personalised, and powered by cutting-edge AI and technology—creating a feeling similar to training with a coach.

As a Senior Product Manager your role will include :

  • Leading a team of 6-8 Engineers and 1 Product Designer in building the best recording features. The features you will build will be used by >100k+ DAU
  • Working across the full product development cycle from speaking to users, to developing the product strategy, roadmap and backlog, to working with designers and engineers to build and then managing release and support

  • Helping tie the recordings experience with the broader app experience and working closely with the rest of the product and design team to deliver an easy to use app

Questions you might be answering:

  • What is the ideal run recording experience? How should it vary based on a runner’s ability level?
  • How would you build the best audio feedback feature to support runners during their sessions?
  • How would you use AI to turbo charge the run recording experience?
  • How can we create the best Strength feature tailored specifically for runners?
  • How do we allow users to adapt their Strength workout based on equipment available?
  • How would you design the Run Recording and Strength workouts on the Apple Watch?

Requirements

Your key skills:

  • 4-8+ years of Product management experience, ideally in a B2C environment
  • You should have a proven ability to design intuitive, habit-forming product experiences grounded in a deep understanding of fitness user needs and behaviours
  • You should have a track record of owning complex feature sets through iterative releases, with clear prioritisation and high product quality in fast-moving environments
  • You’ve worked in a start-up or a fast-paced environment with an ability to pivot quickly in response to changing priorities or market conditions
  • You should have a sharp eye for mobile UX detail and the ability to work with design and engineering to create delightful, responsive workout experiences
  • Have a technical background (Engineering, Computer Science, Maths, Physics etc)
  • You’re London based (or able to work in person 2+ days per week at our Vauxhall office)

  • You are interested in how AI models work

About you:

  • You’re low ego - you’re here to collaborate and work with the team
  • You’re a “doer”; not just a “thinker”. You’re hands on and want to roll up your sleeves / get stuck in (you have a real ‘go get it’ attitude)
  • You’re organised and efficient
