Are you an experienced Senior Learning & Development Officer looking for an exciting opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our award-winning HR department. This full-time, 12-14 month fixed-term contract role is based in either Birmingham or London and involves implementing a wide range of learning and development initiatives for legal and business services staff.

The Role

As a Senior Learning & Development Officer, you will:

  • Design and deliver skills training, development, and induction programmes for legal and business services staff.
  • Work with with other departments on equity, diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing training sessions.
  • Support compliance training and mentoring programmes.
  • Introduce and occasionally deliver training sessions, driving L&D innovation.
  • Assess training needs, recommend interventions, and support professional qualifications.
  • Update the firm's intranet and Learning Management System.
  • Use psychometric tools for L&D purposes and assist with CPD queries.
  • Attend training committee and L&D-related meetings.
  • Occasionally travel to other UK offices.

The Candidate

The ideal Senior Learning & Development Officer will have:

  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar role within legal or professional services.
  • A passion for learning and development.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation skills.
  • A proactive and positive team player attitude.
  • Flexibility, dedication, and strong service ethic.
  • The ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines.
