Studio & Production Coordinator

E.L.V. DENIM is looking for an exceptionally organised, hardworking Studio & Production Coordinator to join the growing team in London. The successful applicant will report to the Head of Studio, working closely with the studio intern team across multiple deadlines and projects.

E.L.V. DENIM operates a fast-paced studio working on design development, production, sourcing and special projects, on solely upcycled products.

Key Responsibilities

Studio:

• Managing day to day workflow and productivity of self and studio interns across production, product development and special projects, alongside Head of Studio.
• Inductions for new interns, ensuring they are briefed on safe usage of machinery and professional studio conduct.
• Managing workflow of ad-hoc production, customer jeans edits and custom orders.
• Ensuring studio appearance and equipment are kept stocked up and maintained to a high standard
• Ensuring general items are well stocked

Production:

• Weekly briefing on the studio goals for the week by the Head of Studio, daily briefing of tasks.
• Managing the preparation and packing of all outgoing production for factories, ensuring clear labelling and correct paperwork
• Managing post-production notes in-house
• Working on small in-house production runs alongside Head of Studio and interns
• Pick up and drop-offs with factories, local errands as needed
• Liaising with all factories and suppliers, ensuring that workflow is constant and smooth.
• Managing stock count on trims, seasonal trims order

Product development

• Toiling and sampling of new developments for the new collection alongside Head of Studio
• Managing seasonal design sign-off sheet, making sure all information on new styles is confirmed and well-noted
• Fabric tests and research
• Wash tests for new materials/ styles

Requirements:

• Fashion graduate
• At least 2 years of experience working in the creative fashion sector
• Strong sewing skills - confident using an industrial sewing machine, overlocker, pressing and hand finishing to a high standard and troubleshooting machine issues.
• Good pattern cutting skills – confident, accurately tracing off patterns, working from a pattern to create a toile, making pattern amendments
• Good drawing skills – confident creating CADs from existing garments or images, hand sketching skills a plus
• A highly organised and hard-working individual who is great at multi-tasking and problem-solving.
• Excellent time management and self-motivation
• Excellent people skills
• A solutions driven person with a key interest in sustainability
• Experience working within a team is beneficial
