School Caretaker - Haringey Primary School

We are working with a primary school in Haringey recruiting for a reliable School Caretaker to manage their site. This is a permanent, full-time role for an individual who takes pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming learning environment for young children.

The Role You will be responsible for the security, maintenance, and general upkeep of the school buildings and grounds. The role involves a split-shift pattern (typically 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM – 6:30 PM) to ensure the site is ready for the school day. Key responsibilities include:

• Opening and securing the school site daily and acting as the primary key holder

• Performing minor repairs, including basic plumbing, carpentry, and painting

• Coordinating with external contractors for specialist maintenance work

• Monitoring health and safety compliance, including fire alarm and water testing

• Overseeing the cleaning team and managing site-related stock and equipment
