Client Partner - Banking and Financial Markets (IT)

Candidate profile: In this role, you will lead the growth of CGI?s Banking & Financial Services portfolio by developing trusted partnerships with senior clients and identifying new opportunities for value creation. You will take ownership of business development, operational management, and delivery success across a diverse client base in the UK and Asia. Acting as a strategic advisor, you will shape solutions that address industry challenges, champion innovation, and ensure the delivery of sustainable outcomes. You will also play a key leadership role within CGI, supporting team development, driving collaboration across business units, and contributing to our go-to-market strategies. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine commercial expertise with thought leadership, ensuring CGI continues to deliver measurable impact for our clients. Key responsibilities include: Lead & Innovate: Build and execute growth strategies, securing new business opportunities in Banking & Financial Services Develop & Deliver: Manage end-to-end sales cycles, from opportunity identification to contract close Build & Strengthen: Cultivate long-term, trusted client relationships across the UK and Asia Shape & Influence: Provide market insight and contribute to CGI?s strategic direction Guide & Support: Lead, mentor, and develop teams while ensuring operational excellence Manage & Optimise: Oversee financial and operational performance to achieve revenue and growth targets Required qualifications to be successful in this role To succeed, you will bring strong commercial acumen, proven leadership skills, and deep sector knowledge, combined with the ability to inspire confidence and deliver measurable results. You should be motivated by growth, adept at building trusted client relationships, and skilled at leading teams in a collaborative, high-performing environment. You should have: Proven track record in sales, business development, and operational management within Banking & Financial Services Extensive experience managing senior client relationships and delivering growth Strong understanding of UK and Asia banking markets, industry trends, and regulatory environments Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding revenue targets Excellent leadership, influencing, and consultative selling skills Experience in bid management, deal shaping, proposals, and financial modelling Strong technical IT awareness with the ability to connect solutions to business outcomes Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
