On-the-Go Mechanic

About the Role

We are looking for a Mobile Mechanic to join our Service, Maintenance and Repair team. You will bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to customers – from driveways to office car parks – delivering first‑class service without the constraints of a traditional garage. From day one you’ll be equipped with a company van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools and a diagnostic kit.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, diagnostics, repairs and checks on a variety of light vehicles on‑site.
• Communicate clearly with customers, offering advice and building confidence in the service you provide.
• Manage your own stock of parts and consumables, ensuring you have the right items for each job.
• Complete required reporting and documentation after each visit.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the organization positively at every customer interaction.

What We’re Looking For

• Level 2 light‑vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years’ hands‑on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.
• Strong customer‑service skills and the ability to think on your feet.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to vary your day‑to‑day tasks.

Working Conditions & Schedule

• Full‑time, 40‑hour week.
• Core hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, with one Saturday in every four weeks.
• Additional availability Monday–Saturday, 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, to accommodate customer needs.
• Guaranteed overtime option after the first month (optional), paid at £30 per hour.
• All necessary equipment, vehicle and fuel provided by the employer.

Compensation & Benefits

• Earnings that motivate – competitive base salary of £45,378 (inclusive of London weighting, if applicable) with on‑target earnings up to £57,000 through bonuses and premium‑rate overtime.
• Opt‑in guaranteed overtime – one extra day per month can add roughly £3,000 to your annual earnings; two days can add about £5,000.
• Vehicle & tools package – free breakdown service from day one and access to a salary‑sacrifice car scheme (including electric options) after 12 months.
