The purpose of the MarTech and Activation Lead is to maximise the value of our customer data by leading the MarTech strategy and ensuring seamless activation of customer insights across all marketing channels and touchpoints.
Role overview:
As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:
• Shape and deliver Currys’ MarTech architecture strategy, making sure it integrates smoothly with our CDP and wider data platforms.
• Lead the selection and rollout of new marketing technology tools to power omnichannel activation.
• Build real-time activation capabilities, using event-driven architecture to deliver personalised experiences at scale.
• Partner with marketing teams to translate campaign needs into practical, technical solutions.
• Establish APIs and integration patterns to enable seamless data flow across platforms and channels.
• Drive technical delivery of identity resolution and customer journey orchestration.
• Keep MarTech platforms performing at their best, optimising costs while ensuring GDPR compliance and data security.

You’ll work closely with marketing, data engineering, product, and digital channel teams, as well as external tech partners. Together, you’ll make sure we’re getting the very best out of our customer data platforms and activation tools.
You will need:
• Deep knowledge of MarTech architecture and customer data activation platforms.
• Strong technical background with expertise in APIs, real-time data processing, and cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and modern data integration tools.
• Proven track record delivering CDP and activation solutions at enterprise scale.
• Understanding of digital marketing channels including email, mobile, web, and paid media.
• Experience with identity resolution and cross-device tracking solutions.
• Great project management skills to lead complex technical implementations.
• Solid understanding of GDPR and data privacy in a marketing context.
• Degree in Computer Science, Marketing Technology, or a related field.
• MarTech platform certifications are a bonus.
• Digital marketing qualifications are also a plus.
