Senior Paralegal

parcelLab
London

At parcelLab , we’re reshaping how the world’s leading brands manage the post-purchase experience.

Our post-purchase platform helps companies like John Lewis, Chico's, Yeti, AllSaints, and others transform every touchpoint into moments that drive customer engagement, build loyalty, and create customers for life.

We are now hiring a Senior Commercial Paralegal to be the "right hand" to our Head of Legal . This role is for someone who has already mastered SaaS contracting fundamentals and is ready to take ownership of the day-to-day legal engine of a fast-growing tech business.

The Role:

This role is about ownership, commercial judgement, and partnership . The goal if for this this person to become the clear first line of defence to our Go-To-Market (GTM) teams - resolving the majority of standard commercial matters autonomously, while exercising strong judgement on when to escalate.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the legal machine runs efficiently, consistently, and commercially.

What you’ll do:

Deal Acceleration:

  • Independently own the review and negotiation of standard SaaS agreements (MSAs, DPAs, Order Forms, NDAs).

  • Apply internal playbooks confidently to close deals efficiently while protecting key risk positions.

  • Act as a pragmatic partner to Sales and Customer Success, balancing commercial velocity with risk management.

  • Identify recurring negotiation trends and propose structural or template improvements.

You are not supporting deals — you are enabling them to close!

Privacy & Compliance Engine:

  • Develop a strong operational understanding of how parcelLab uses and processes data.

  • Maintain and evolve customer-facing documentation (DPA, Sub-Processor Lists, Privacy Policies).

  • Support GDPR, UK and relevant US privacy compliance in day-to-day business operations.

  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure new features and initiatives align with regulatory requirements.

You help translate regulation into practical, understandable, and scalable business processes.

Building the Legal Ops Stack:

  • Take ownership of our contract repository (Nomio) and ensure data accuracy and visibility.

  • Drive improvements to templates, playbooks, and internal guidance materials.

  • Support the implementation of AI-driven workflows to increase efficiency and reduce turnaround time.

  • Track key contracting metrics and contribute to improving legal SLAs.

You don’t just use tools — you improve how Legal operates.

Cross-Functional Trust:

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with Sales, Ops, Finance, and Product.

  • Provide clear, actionable legal guidance that keeps the business moving.

  • Demonstrate strong commercial judgment and the ability to “find the signal in the noise.”

  • Represent Legal confidently in cross-functional discussions.

In a small but high-impact Legal team, stakeholders will look to you for clarity and consistency.

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for someone who is reliable, proactive, and technically sharp - someone who takes pride in "owning their stuff" and makes working with the Legal team feel seamless for others.

  • The Experience: A law degree (LLB/GDL) and 2–4 years of experience in a fast-paced B2B SaaS or tech environment.

  • The "Sweet Spot" Skillset: You have a strong grasp of SaaS contract structures, including liability caps, indemnities, data protection, termination, and IP. You confidently explain risk trade-offs and defend key commercial positions. You manage multiple deal threads independently and apply risk thresholds with sound judgment, escalating only when appropriate.

  • The “Robot Friend” Factor: You are naturally curious about Legal Ops and automation. You actively leverage AI and tooling to drive efficiency. You are process-driven, detail-oriented, and focused on designing smarter ways of working — not just following existing ones.

  • Low Ego, High Impact: You are pragmatic, collaborative, and commercially minded. You stay calm under pressure and communicate with confidence across senior stakeholders. You take ownership, deliver outcomes, and see matters through.

What we offer:

  • Remote-first – work from anywhere in the UK, with flexibility built into how we collaborate.

  • High exposure to commercial SaaS deals and real responsibility from day one.

  • Opportunity to help build and scale a modern, people-first in-house Legal function grounded in ownership, collaboration and trust.

  • Close mentorship and development from an experienced in-house legal lead.

  • A collaborative, international tech environment with ambitious growth plans .

  • Clear scope to grow responsibility as the Legal function scales.

Perks and Benefits:
