This is a unique opportunity to rebuild and shape the future of Hasbro’s production team in the UK, establishing new systems, partnerships, and processes that power a multi-format global slate. The VP, Production will oversee strategy and execution across animation, live-action, stop-motion, and mixed media, ensuring Hasbro’s content is delivered to world-class standards while driving efficiency, innovation, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

Production Leadership & Strategy:

  • Oversee all production management across Hasbro’s animation and digital content slate, from greenlight through delivery.

  • Build and lead a best-in-class production operation based in the UK, delivering content for global platforms, and partnering with teams and vendors across the world.

  • Identify, onboard, and develop vendor partners globally, fostering long-term relationships that build capability, quality, and efficiency across Hasbro’s production network.

  • Develop and maintain scalable production systems, workflows, and vendor partnerships spanning the UK, Europe, North America, and Asia.

  • Lead budget and schedule creation for SVOD and broadcast series; partner with Finance and Business Affairs to align on scope, incentives, and fiscal strategy.

  • Serve as Hasbro Entertainment’s senior production representative with partners including Netflix, Disney, Amazon, and Paramount, as well as external partner studios and vendors.

  • Champion innovation in production methodologies, workflows, and technology - including the targeted application and smart integration of AI - to increase scalability and efficiency.

  • Leverage data and production insights to inform forecasting, vendor selection, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Oversee compliance with union, guild, and performer agreements (ACTRA, SAG-AFTRA, Equity), as well as local labour regulations.

  • Lead production incentive and rebate strategy globally, including identifying and expanding production into new territories.

  • Collaborate closely with Franchise, Brand, and Marketing teams to ensure production plans align with content strategy, release windows, and consumer product priorities.

Operational Excellence & Team Leadership:

  • Provide strategic leadership to the production management team, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and consistency across projects.

  • Rebuild and grow the UK-based production function, establishing structure, culture, and clear standards for delivery and collaboration.

  • Oversee all budgets, schedules, and production documentation, ensuring transparency, strong financial governance, and robust production systems - setting new processes where needed and reviewing existing ones on an ongoing basis.

  • Champion financial discipline and ROI-focused production planning, balancing creative quality with commercial efficiency across all formats.

  • Drive proactive risk assessment and contingency planning across the production slate, ensuring operational resilience, timely escalation, and minimal disruption to delivery.

  • Drive alignment between production and creative leadership, balancing ambition with practicality and franchise priorities.

  • Partner with Hasbro’s post-production, creative, and brand teams to optimise workflows, delivery timelines, and resource allocation.

  • Partner closely with the Senior Director, Strategy & Operations, to ensure production and development timelines remain aligned with wider business priorities, managing expectations and presenting creative, pragmatic solutions when conflicts arise.

  • Mentor and develop production leaders, fostering a positive, solutions-oriented team culture grounded in continuous improvement and a Kaizen mindset, supporting both staff and freelance contributors.

External Representation & Relationship Management:

  • Act as the face of Hasbro’s production capabilities to studios, co-production partners, vendors, and platform partners, negotiating production feedback, schedule adjustments, and budget alterations with a balance of firmness and flexibility to maintain both partner trust and production integrity.

  • Negotiate production and vendor agreements in partnership with Business & Legal Affairs.

  • Represent Hasbro Entertainment at industry events and forums relevant to production and technology.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Extensive senior leadership experience in animation or VFX production.

  • Proven ability to build or rebuild production teams and systems in a fast-moving, high-stakes environment.

  • Deep understanding of international production pipelines, workflows, and tax incentives.

  • Strong production management and scope negotiation skills; capable of balancing creative ambition with production and commercial realities.

  • Collaborative, decisive, and forward-thinking leader with exceptional communication and organisational skills.

  • Highly skilled at influencing without authority, able to build trust, alignment, and momentum across diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Comfortable operating within a complex, matrixed organisation, able to drive progress, alignment, and momentum across multiple functions and stakeholder groups.

  • Entrepreneurial and self-starting, with the drive to establish new operational models and lead through change.

  • A versatile operator who can effortlessly shift between strategic, big-picture thinking and detailed, hands-on problem solving, adapting to whatever the moment requires.

  • Calm under pressure, with a natural ability to solve problems and maintain momentum in complex, deadline-driven environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience overseeing productions across multiple formats (animation, live action, stop motion, mixed media).

  • Expert understanding of SVOD and broadcaster delivery requirements and technical standards.
