About the role
As Technical Specialist in Single Cell Spatial Transcriptomics and Spatial Proteomics, youll play a key role in delivering and advancing cutting-edge single-cell and spatial omics technologies and workflows within the Smart Trials Hub.
Working as part of a highly collaborative and multidisciplinary team, the role provides expert technical support across a broad range of academic and commercial research projects, applying specialist knowledge of single-cell spatial transcriptomics and spatial proteomics, and associated technologies.
The role is responsible for delivering and optimising advanced single-cell and spatial omics workflows, including RNA & protein antibody barcoding protocols, cell sorting, next-generation sequencing (NGS), whole transcriptome analysis, method development, data acquisition and quality control. Youll ensure the generation of high-quality, reproducible datasets and contribute to the continuous development of the facilitys research capabilities.
Youll provide specialist advice on experimental design and emerging methodologies, maintain equipment and workflows to a high standard, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure the highest levels of sample and data integrity. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, accurate record keeping and a commitment to delivering high-quality research outcomes.
This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract. This is an onsite, facility-based role and the post holder is expected to be on campus for the full working week.
