About VantagePoint
VantagePoint is a global finance transformation and technology consultancy helping organisations modernise the finance function through process improvement, data and market-leading technology.
Headquartered in London, we've grown rapidly from a team of five to more than 100 professionals across EMEA, North America and APAC in just seven years.
We work with CFOs, Finance Directors and finance systems teams to transform how they close, consolidate, plan and report - combining deep finance expertise with strong technical delivery to deliver practical outcomes and build long-term partnerships with our clients.
We're an ambitious consultancy that believes great people thrive when they're trusted early, challenged often and supported to grow. If you're looking for a place where your contribution matters, you'll feel at home here.
The opportunity
We hire people who take pride in their work and want to be part of something exceptional.
We're looking for a high-potential Associate Consultant to join our CCH Tagetik practice in EMEA.
CCH Tagetik is a unified corporate performance management (CPM) platform covering financial close and consolidation, budgeting, planning and forecasting, and financial and regulatory reporting. You'll work alongside experienced consultants on implementations, upgrades and optimisation projects, helping finance teams at leading organisations close faster, plan better and report with confidence.
This is a hands-on, client-facing role. You'll be in workshops, building in the platform and speaking directly with clients - not hiding behind spreadsheets or colleagues. You'll have responsibility from day one, with the support of an experienced team around you.
CCH Tagetik experience is desirable but not essential. We're equally interested in people coming from finance, accounting, FP&A or finance systems backgrounds who have the curiosity and ambition to build their technology expertise.
This is particularly well suited to someone early in their career who wants more ownership and client exposure than they might get in a larger consultancy, while still working on complex, international transformation programmes.
What you'll be working on
Client delivery
- Speak directly with clients to understand their finance processes, pain points and reporting needs.
- Support requirements and design workshops, contributing ideas during design sessions.
- Configure and build CCH Tagetik solutions across close and consolidation, planning and forecasting, and reporting, with guidance from senior consultants.
- Support data integration and migration, helping map and load source system data into Tagetik.
- Deliver your tasks to a high standard and to agreed timelines, flagging risks or blockers early.
Testing & go-live
- Prepare and run test scripts to make sure the solution works exactly as expected.
- Support clients through UAT and defect resolution.
- Help reconcile data so the numbers tie out.
- Support cutover, go-live and hypercare activities.
- Produce clear, usable documentation and solution guides.
Client relationships
- Explain concepts to clients in their own language, considering their perspective in both the messaging and the solution.
- Support clients to upskill in CCH Tagetik through demonstrations, tailored training sessions and documentation.
- Build strong working relationships with client teams, and spot opportunities where we could add more value.
Practice growth
- Contribute to our delivery assets, templates and accelerators so each implementation is quicker and better than the last.
- Use our AI tools, and the AI capability within CCH Tagetik, to automate work and improve the speed and quality of delivery.
- Contribute to blogs, case studies and other content that showcase our work.
- Attend partner, client and industry events alongside senior colleagues.
- Collaborate with colleagues across EMEA, North America and APAC to share and learn best practice.
Why join VantagePoint?
We're building something special.
Our CCH Tagetik practice is one of our longest-standing and most established, with a strong partner relationship and a portfolio of complex, international clients. Joining now means learning from some of the most experienced Tagetik consultants in the market, while having room to make your mark.
Unlike many consulting roles, you'll be trusted with meaningful responsibility from day one. You'll work directly with client stakeholders, solve real business problems and see the impact of your work from discovery through to go-live.
You'll also benefit from:
- Structured CCH Tagetik certification and a clear development pathway.
- Consulting methodology, presentation and client-skills training.
- A dedicated line manager and buddy to support you day to day.
- Early responsibility with genuine autonomy and ownership.
- A collaborative, low-ego culture where ideas are encouraged and expertise is shared.
- Clear career progression based on capability, contribution and impact.
What success looks like
Within your first six months
- Build trusted relationships with your clients and project teams.
- Develop a strong understanding of CCH Tagetik and VantagePoint's delivery methodology.
- Deliver high-quality build and testing work on live client projects.
- Gain your first CCH Tagetik certification.
Within your first 12 months
- Own defined pieces of solution build with increasing independence.

- Be on track for progression to Consultant level.
Who we're looking for
We're looking for people who combine a strong grounding in finance with a curiosity for technology.
You don't need to have all the answers on day one, but you should enjoy solving problems, building relationships and delivering practical outcomes for clients.
You'll be a great fit if you have:
- A degree, ideally in accounting, finance, economics, information systems or another numerate subject.
- Around one to two years' experience in finance, accounting, finance systems or consulting (placements and graduate schemes count).
- A working knowledge of core finance concepts such as month-end close, consolidation, budgeting and forecasting.
- Strong Excel skills and an enjoyment of solving problems through structured thinking.
- Exposure to CCH Tagetik or another CPM/EPM platform (desirable).
- Some experience with SQL, data integration or ETL tools (desirable).
- Progress towards a professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA (desirable).
- Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills.
- A professional, organised and detail-oriented approach.
- A willingness to get involved beyond delivery, including training, practice initiatives and events.
Benefits
Alongside a competitive salary and performance bonus, we offer:
- Up to 10% matched pension contribution
- Private healthcare
- Life cover
- Hybrid working
- Free travel to the London office
- Gym or wellbeing allowance
- EAP - Employee Assistance Programme
- Monthly phone allowance
- Paid company socials
- Cycle to Work scheme
Our values
- Thrive together - we win as one team
- Take ownership - accountability for outcomes, not just tasks
- Quality, every time - consistent, well-judged delivery
- Be human, first - trust, empathy and respect
- Speak with clarity - open, direct, low ego
- Move with intent - decisive, reflective, always improving
If you're looking for a consultancy where you'll be trusted to make an impact, challenged to grow and supported to do your best work, we'd love to hear from you.
