Revenue Accountant
- Ensure that all revenue is recognised in accordance within relevant accounting standards and internal policies.
- Manage month-end close including preparing and posting revenue related journals, and revenue variance analysis against forecast and budget.
- Monitor and reconcile deferred Revenue balances, ensuring appropriate recognition monthly.
- Work with the Contracts Processing and Billing teams to oversee and review billing issues and ensure general accuracy and completeness.
- Support the annual roll out and monthly calculation and payment process of commissions.
- Apply and enforce company revenue recognition policies, and contribute to process improvement.
- Prepare and present revenue reports for management including trends and insights.
- Support in the p reparation and review of monthly calculation of commissions.
- Assist in ad hoc financial analysis relating to pricing, customer contracts or product line.
- Work across departmental teams dealing with Sales, Legal, Customer Success, Contracts Processing and Billing teams.
- To carry-out any other ad-hoc task given by Line Manager.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CPA or ACCA) or equivalent certification.
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance or related field.
- 1-3 years of post qualification experience, preferably in revenue recognition and reporting.
- Experience with commission schemes, multi-currency and global contracts a benefit
- Proficiency in accountancy and CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights and reports.
- Strong problem solving skills, applying your existing professional knowledge to find solutions to new problems.
- Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to effectively convey findings of different complexity levels to various internal and external audiences.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of data management accuracy.
- Able to support when required by working on UK &/or US timing
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
