Learning Support Assistant
Pay: 110- 120 per day
Full-time/ Term Time only

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to work with a student diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The student requires tailored support outside of the traditional classroom setting, including 1:1 interventions and assistance with completing work in alternative environments.

Learning Support Assistant Role:
Provide consistent 1:1 support to the student throughout the school day
Deliver structured interventions outside the classroom to help the student engage with learning
Support the student in managing transitions, emotional regulation, and focus
Collaborate with teaching staff and SENCO to adapt learning materials and strategies
Maintain accurate records of progress and behaviour
Foster a positive, trusting relationship with the student to encourage independence and confidence

Learning Support Assistant Requirements:
Experience working with children with ASD and ADHD (school-based experience preferred)
Enhanced DBS on the update service.
Understanding of behaviour management strategies and sensory needs
Ability to work flexibly and respond to the student's changing needs
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
