Job summary:
The Group Head of Corporate & Funds is responsible for the strategic leadership, management, and oversight of the global Corporate & Funds division. This role is pivotal in driving the development and execution of the division’s strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and exceptional client service. The role holder will lead the expansion of products and services in line with the Group’s strategic objectives and play a key role in shaping and promoting the commercial proposition. As a highly visible, market-facing leader, they will represent the business externally, foster relationships with key clients and intermediaries, and inspire the team to do the same.
Job accountabilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Drive the development and implementation of the global Corporate & Funds strategy in alignment with the Group’s overarching goals.
- Lead the creation and execution of robust business plans to achieve performance outcomes.
- Commercial Proposition & Market Engagement
- Collaborate with the marketing and business development team to define and evolve the commercial proposition, ensuring it reflects market needs and differentiates the business.
- Lead thought leadership initiatives, including content development, event participation, and industry engagement.
- Act as the external face of the Corporate & Funds division, representing the business in the market and building its profile.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, intermediaries, and industry stakeholders.
- Champion a market-facing culture within the team, encouraging proactive relationship management and commercial awareness.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure processes and procedures are designed and implemented in accordance with applicable laws and regulations across all jurisdictions where Praxis operates.
- Monitor and adapt to changes in legal and regulatory environments to maintain compliance.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Provide leadership and direction to the internal Corporate & Funds teams, maximising their effectiveness while maintaining high-quality client experiences.
- Lead, inspire, and mentor the Service Line Management and Leadership team to achieve their full potential.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Drive the achievement of business development goals through proactive management and development of key client relationships.
- Identify and capitalise on cross-selling opportunities and contribute to the development of targeted marketing and sales activities.
- Service Delivery:
- Oversee service delivery teams to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of services to clients.
- Drive design, implementation, and continuous enhancement to service delivery models that meet client expectations and operational standards, while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Performance Management:
- Be responsible for the overall delivery of service line targets and manage the ongoing financial performance of the division
- Manage the performance of the Corporate & Funds division, holding the team accountable for meeting financial and operational targets as defined in the budget and business plan.
- Utilise key performance indicators to monitor progress and drive improvements.
- Leadership and Management:
- Demonstrate effective leadership and management skills, setting a high standard for the team.
- Encourage a collaborative and innovative working environment, promoting best practices and operational excellence.
Minimum education and experience
- Minimum 15 years within a Corporate Services / Fund Provider
- Hold Professional Qualification Level 7 as appropriate
Required skills:
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the corporate services, fund administration or financial services industry.
- Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance within the corporate services and funds sector.
- Excellent leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop client relationships.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in managing budgets and financial targets.
- Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to conceptualise and translate strategy into every day working
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills
- Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to apply those skills to resolve client requirements.
- An understanding of business dynamics and challenges together with a sound understanding of operational functions and commercial awareness
- Excellent planning and organisational skills along with the ability to tackle multiple workstream while meeting tight deadlines.
