Head of Cricket

Tes is supporting the appointment of Head of Cricket to join a school based in Waltham.

The school is seeking an inspirational Head of Cricket to make a significant contribution to a large, dynamic, and forward-thinking programme. The role is available for a January or April start, depending on availability.

Cricket is a three-term sport at the school, and the Head of Cricket, under the guidance of the Director of Sport, is responsible for delivering an aspirational strategy and development plan to promote the reputational recognition of, and value for, school cricket both regionally and nationally. The Head of Cricket will have a clear vision and provide a modern programme which, in line with the School’s Sport Philosophy, encourages participation, performance, and personal development at all levels and ages.

The successful candidate will deliver a training and fixture programme that fosters continued engagement and pupil development in the sport. They will also play a leading role in the development of cricket at the school, both in terms of increasing participation and enhancing competitiveness in national competitions.

The first-rate sports facilities and grounds at the school allow them to provide an outstanding sports programme which promotes excellence and participation. They include:

• 3 new outdoor nets
  
• 5 lane sports hall
  
• 2 lane indoor cricket centre
  
• 3 cages for centre wicket practise
  
• 4 cricket square
