Release Engineer – Java Maven
£55-60k + bonus and benefits
Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Release Engineer to join our high profile client.
Our client provides global technology services to the financial services industry specifically providing innovation, competitiveness and responsive IT that truly enables financial services. Their clients are the major investment banks and Asset Managers.
As a Release Engineer you will own the test, build and release infrastructure for multiple projects. This will include designing and implementing processes and tools to support continuous integration and testing. In addition, the Release Engineer will be an advocate of good software engineering practices.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Development and publishing of software and installation packages.
- Manage testing and release environments.
- Work with developers and testers to deliver quality applications.
- Evaluate new technologies for projects.
- Work with members of the tech team to build release and customize versions of the companies products.
As a release engineer you must have:
- 3 or more years of hand on release engineering experience
- Experience with Java development
- Exposure to Maven 2 build system
- Scripting experience in UNIX and Windows environments
- Experience with configuration management best practices, ability implement and support these practices.
- Experience with Subversion would be beneficial
- Skill and ability to work and manage multiple projects at the same time
- Experience with the following would be a bonus; Websphere, JBoss, Hudson
