Maths Teacher | Havering
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join an outstanding secondary school in Havering. Role Overview:
As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will support students of varying abilities, helping them build confidence and achieve excellent academic outcomes. You will work closely with the mathematics department to develop resources, share best practice, and contribute to curriculum planning and enrichment activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality mathematics lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support improvement.
Develop and maintain teaching resources and schemes of work.
Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
Support departmental initiatives, extra-curricular activities, and mathematics events.
Contribute to reporting and assessment processes, including exam preparation and data analysis.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and support student learning across the school.
Uphold the school’s safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour policies.
Skills and Experience:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant mathematics degree.
Strong subject knowledge across all areas of the mathematics curriculum.
Excellent classroom management, organisational, and communication skills.
Ability to inspire, engage, and challenge students.
Experience in assessment, curriculum planning, and student progress tracking.
Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
