7.5t Delivery Driver

Driver Hire Uxbridge are recruiting for a dedicated 7.5T Delivery Driver for our client, a leading Plastic Fabrication company in Uxbridge

TEMPORARY TO PERMAMENT POSITION (opportunity to become a permanent employee after a 12 week period, subject to performance)

£33,000 per annum + yearly performance bonus

Monday to Friday 07:30 to 17:30

Duties:

* Safely and efficiently drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle in full compliance with UK road traffic laws, transport regulations and company policies

* Complete scheduled customer deliveries and collections safely, efficiently and within agreed timescales

* Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues promptly

* Ensure all goods are loaded correctly and securely strapped

* Complete all delivery notes, paperwork and electronic records accurately

* Deliver a professional, friendly and customer focused service at every delivery

* Safely load and unload goods, using appropriate equipment and manual handling procedures

* Maintain a clean, tidy and professional vehicle and ensure goods are handled with care throughout the delivery process

* Assist with general warehouse duties when not carrying out driving and delivery responsibilities

Interested in progressing your career? If you’re the right fit, our client will support you in obtaining your Class 2 (Cat C) HGV licence after 6 months of service

Requirements:

* UK Category C1 manual licence

* Max 6 points; no DR, DD, TT, IN or MS90

* Valid CPC

* Aged 25+ for insurance

* Experience is preferred but not essential

* Physically fit for heavy lifting

* Professional with excellent customer service skills

* Reliability is essential
