Commercial Tech Lawyer - FinTech Specialism

Taylor Root is delighted to be partnering with a leading international law firm to appoint a mid‑level Commercial Technology Associate into its specialist FinTech team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded commercial and technology team that advises a diverse and fast‑growing client base, including financial institutions, fintechs, payment providers, SaaS platforms, and global technology companies operating within the financial services sector.

The role will focus on complex, technology transactions and digital transformation projects. You will work across a broad range of commercial tech matters, often supporting clients delivering innovative technology solutions into regulated environments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Advising on SaaS, cloud, outsourcing, licensing, and technology procurement agreements.
• Supporting large‑scale tech implementation and integration projects.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the broader commercial, technology and data teams.
• Contributing to business development initiatives and maintaining strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum of 2 years PQE in commercial technology, gained in private practice or via industry secondment.
• A strong interest in the fintech and FS sectors with prior exposure to supporting these types of clients.
• A proactive, solutions‑driven approach and enthusiasm for working on high‑value, tech‑enabled projects.
