Associate Highways Engineer

Salary: Circa 65,000 - 70,000 + benefits
An established and growing infrastructure consultancy in London is looking to appoint an Associate Highways Engineer to take a leading role within its highways and infrastructure team.
This is a predominantly highways-focused position, offering the opportunity to lead complex schemes, influence projects from feasibility through to construction, and mentor a developing team within a collaborative and agile environment.
- Lead the design and delivery of highway infrastructure projects (S278, S38 and public realm schemes)
- Provide strategic highways input at planning stage
- Oversee detailed designs in line with DMRB, Manual for Streets and local authority standards
- Manage technical approvals and liaise with highways authorities
- Oversee drainage strategies and Flood Risk Assessments as part of integrated infrastructure packages
- Support fee proposals, commercial management and programme delivery
- Mentor junior engineers and maintain strong client relationships
- Significant UK highways design experience at Principal or Associate level
- Strong knowledge of DMRB, Manual for Streets, S38/S278 and adoption processes
- Experience leading highways inputs on development or regeneration projects
- Commercial awareness and confidence in client-facing environments
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) and Chartered, or working towards CEng/MICE/MCIHT
- Circa 65,000 - 70,000 base salary
