A unique Independent school in Barnet is seeking a creative and scholarly English Teacher for a full-time, permanent role starting in September 2026. Responsibilities

• Deliver a knowledge-rich English curriculum across KS3 to KS5, focusing on critical theory and historiography.

• Foster high-level communication skills by encouraging students to share ideas and speak out with confidence.

• Oversee student-led publications, literary magazines, or creative writing clubs.

• Contribute to a broad enrichment programme, linking Literature to drama and social history.

• Work with a supportive leadership team that prioritizes professional trust and staff wellbeing.

Requirements

• Degree in English Literature or a related field.

• PGCE or QTS.

• Ability to inspire a deep love for reading and critical interpretation.

• Must have the right to work in the UK.

Salary and Benefits
