Hyde is looking to recruit a Senior Data Engineer.
We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team within the Technology department. In this role, you will lead the design, development and maintenance of data systems, ensuring the organisation’s data is reliable, accessible and ready to power high-impact decision-making. You will also mentor other engineers and support the development of our overall data architecture and strategy.

Duties of a Senior Data Engineer:
• Design and implement data pipelines for collecting, transforming, and loading data from multiple sources.
• Lead on building and maintaining data lakes and data warehouses.
• Collaborate with senior data and analytics colleagues to gather pipeline requirements and inform data strategy.
• Define and implement data models, mappings, and quality checks in collaboration with Data Architect and engineers.
• Assemble and manage large, complex data sets to meet business requirements.
• Drive internal process improvements and support wider analytics capability with data tools and approaches.
Skills and Experience Required:
• Strong experience designing and building data pipelines and data storage solutions.
• Ability to analyse and understand a variety of data sources and define data requirements.
• Proven experience leading on data infrastructure projects and mentoring junior team members.
• Solid knowledge of data integration, extraction, transformation and troubleshooting.
• Awareness of industry best practices and commitment to continuous improvement.
• Understanding of data governance principles and their practical application in engineering.
