About the Role A highly respected and Outstanding Ofsted Secondary School in Enfield is seeking an inspiring Art & Design Early Career Teacher (ECT) for a permanent, full-time position commencing January 2026. Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, practical, and ambitious Art and Design lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, utilising varied mediums and techniques.
• Actively participate in the school’s fully funded and supportive ECT induction programme, meeting regularly with a dedicated mentor to review practice and plan professional development.
• Facilitate student participation in external competitions, exhibitions, and co-curricular Art clubs.
• Maintain an inspiring, orderly, and well-resourced studio environment.
• Track and encourage pupil development, celebrating effort and high achievement in creative expression.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending QTS in Art & Design.
• Enthusiasm for fostering student creativity and technical skills in a mixed-gender educational setting.
• Clear potential to become an outstanding classroom practitioner, demonstrated by high-quality initial teacher training.
• Strong portfolio and subject knowledge across a range of artistic disciplines.
• Commitment to supporting the school’s wider commitment to the Arts in the community.
