INSIDE IR35 HYBRID CONTRACT ROLE (LONDON UK)

Our client is searching for a deeply technical and integration-focused Salesforce Loyalty Management Technical Architect to own the engineering, custom development, and high-volume data architecture of our enterprise loyalty programs. While the Solution Architect defines the program rules and tier structures, you will engineer exactly how those rules execute at scale. Built natively on the Salesforce platform, Loyalty Management requires a technical leader who can master complex API integrations with Point-of-Sale (POS) and E-commerce systems, optimize Large Data Volume (LDV) processing for millions of daily transactions, and extend standard declarative tools with advanced Apex and Data Processing Engine (DPE) solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Custom Development: Write, review, and optimize complex Apex (Triggers, Batch Apex, Invocable Methods) and Lightning Web Components (LWC) to handle intricate reward calculations and custom member service screens that standard Loyalty Program Processes cannot support.

• High-Volume Data Processing: Engineer scalable architectures to ingest and process massive volumes of Transaction Journals. Utilize Salesforce Batch Management and configure complex Data Processing Engine (DPE) definitions for point aggregation, tier reassessment, and point expiration.

• API & Integration Architecture: Design and build Real Time, highly concurrent API integrations (REST/SOAP, Bulk API 2.0) connecting Salesforce to external POS systems, mobile applications, and headless commerce platforms for Real Time "earn and burn" capabilities.

• Performance & Governor Limits: Proactively manage Salesforce governor limits, optimising SOQL queries and streamlining Flow architectures to prevent latency during peak transactional events (eg, Black Friday, Flash sales).

• Technical Governance & DevOps: Establish CI/CD pipelines, version control workflows, and rigorous testing frameworks specific to Loyalty Management metadata, ensuring seamless deployments across multi-org environments.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of Salesforce development and technical architecture experience, with at least 2 years of deep, hands-on engineering specifically within Salesforce Loyalty Management or managing Large Data Volume (LDV) transactional architectures on core Salesforce.

• Advanced Salesforce Coding: Expert-level proficiency in Apex, SOQL/SOSL, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Platform Events .

• API & Integration Mastery: Extensive hands-on experience designing robust integrations with external transactional systems, managing authentication (OAuth 2.0, JWT), and optimising payloads for low-latency point redemptions.

• Specialised Loyalty Tools: Deep technical understanding of the Data Processing Engine (DPE), Batch Management, and how to invoke custom Apex from within Loyalty Program Processes.

Optional Skills & Bonus Points

• Integration Middleware: Proficiency with MuleSoft (Anypoint Platform) for orchestrating APIs between Salesforce and Legacy ERP/POS systems.

• Commerce & Headless Execution: Experience integrating loyalty APIs with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (B2C/B2B) or external headless commerce engines (eg, Commercetools, Shopify Plus).

• Data 360 Integration: Experience piping raw transactional data from Salesforce Data 360 directly into Loyalty Management via Data Streams.

• Mobile Experience: Understanding of mobile SDKs to assist external development teams in embedding loyalty functionalities into native iOS/Android applications
