GAIN Customer Science - New Business & Marketing Lead

As part of our continued growth plans, we’re looking for a high-calibre New Business & Marketing Lead to help drive new client acquisition and support organic growth across our existing portfolio. It’s a senior, visible role working closely with leadership – and an opportunity to make a real impact within a business that’s already leading the field.
The Role
This is a strategic, client-facing position that blends smart marketing with commercial focus. You’ll work alongside our senior leadership team to shape how we show up in market, lead new business conversations, and strengthen relationships with existing clients.
We’re looking for someone who understands what it takes to grow a consultancy – someone confident engaging with senior decision-makers, who brings both substance and style to the table. This role suits someone naturally curious, commercially sharp, and genuinely passionate about customer and business transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead new business efforts through targeted outreach, networking, and strategic prospecting
- Support profile-raising activity, including events, content, and marketing campaigns
- Help grow existing accounts by spotting opportunities and collaborating with delivery teams
- Develop compelling pitch materials, proposals, and presentations
- Represent the consultancy at industry forums and business development events
- Shape go-to-market messaging and positioning in collaboration with senior leadership
- Stay up to date on developments across CDPs, CRM systems, and the broader martech landscape
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in senior sales, business development, or marketing roles within consultancy, customer strategy, or agency environments
- A strong record of success in both winning new business and growing client relationships
- Intelligent, confident communication style with strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Deep understanding of the customer ecosystem, including platforms such as CDPs and CRM
- Strategic mindset with the ability to connect client challenges to our offer and approach
- Comfortable working alongside senior stakeholders and contributing at board level
