SEN Teaching Assistant | Barking
A community-focused primary school in Barking is looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning needs. This SEN Teaching Assistant role offers the opportunity to work in a nurturing environment where inclusion and pupil wellbeing are central.
In this role, the SEN Teaching Assistant in Barking will provide tailored support to pupils who require help accessing learning. Support may include 1:1 assistance, small group work, or in-class support. The SEN Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers to adapt activities and provide reassurance throughout the day.
Responsibilities include supporting engagement, managing behaviour positively, and assisting pupils with routines and transitions. The SEN Teaching Assistant will also contribute to observations and progress monitoring, ensuring pupils receive consistent support.
