Year 4 Teaching Assistant - Thornton Heath

Reeson Education is working with a welcoming and well-run mainstream primary school located in Thornton Heath that is seeking an experienced Year 4 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis, starting ASAP.

This role will involve providing classroom and targeted pupil support within a Year 4 setting, including supporting pupils with special educational needs . The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who is confident, proactive and able to adapt support strategies to meet individual learning and behavioural needs.

The successful candidate will:

• Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a UK primary school

• Have proven experience supporting pupils with special educational needs (e.g. Autism, ADHD, learning or behavioural needs)

• Be confident supporting pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis

• Demonstrate strong behaviour management and communication skills

• Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)

• Have up-to-date safeguarding training or be willing to complete this
