Accounts Manager
Job Description
Accounts Manager A business within the D&B Fit-Out sector is looking to appoint an Accounts Manager to support its Finance Director with the day-to-day running of the finance function. This is a hands-on role within a collaborative team, suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, keeping accounts organised and building strong relationships with suppliers, clients and colleagues. You'll manage the accounts payable process, from processing supplier invoices and credit notes through to statement reconciliations and preparing payment runs. This includes ensuring correct coding and VAT/CIS treatment, maintaining supplier records and working closely with the Supply Chain team to resolve invoice queries. Alongside this, you'll support accounts receivable, preparing client invoices against contracts, purchase orders and payment certificates. You'll allocate incoming payments, reconcile discrepancies and keep customer account details and payment terms up to date. The role also involves assisting with bank reconciliations, preparing supporting documentation for audits and helping the Finance Director with ad hoc financial tasks and projects. The successful candidate will bring previous experience in an accounts or finance role, a strong understanding of VAT and CIS, and excellent attention to detail. Experience using COINS is essential. You'll be organised, proactive and comfortable managing competing priorities, with the communication skills to work confidently with directors, clients, consultants and subcontractors.
